We went camping with our friends this past weekend. I am glad to say that I actually took pictures this camping trip! I don't usually think to do it until we have camp half broken down! This is the William Kent campground in Lake Tahoe. The weather was perfect, which was good, since this was our first attempt at 'dry camping' meaning: no water or electricity. It went very well!
We were across the highway from a beach, but we drove to a sandy beach for the day on Saturday. The kids played in the water all day. Teagan got tuckered out and napped on Greg. Declan and Jamie played in the 'hot tub."
There were no dogs allowed on the beach, so we made sure that Otis stayed up on the chair... (there has to always be one that breaks the rules....).

ETA: LOL! After I posted this picture I realized Otis isn't on the chair.... whoops.

Camping near a beach...that is my kind of camping.
Too fun! Brings back loads of memories.
Oh that camper reminds me of camping trips in my childhood! My aunt&uncle used to have one of those. What are they called in English really? We call them "vouw wagens" (folding wagon) as they kinda fold when you take them down eh.
How cool that you have those memories Esther! We call them "Pop Up tent trailers" here.
Owh, "Pop Up tent trailers" make sense ! :) Now let's see if I can remember that heh.
We are thinking about visiting the States again next summer and rent a small camper there then travel from one place to another and all. But maybe we could even rent a normal car and one of these PopUp tent trailers instead.. Hmmm... Options options!

Dry Camping + Coastal Beach = a veryhappycheripryor.
Apparently certain Costco shoppers were also not camping in the vicinity of the beach otherwise you would have had the cops called on your butts. I hear you giggling AND rolling your eyes. (actually, can you "hear" someone roll their eyes? lol!!!)
